Art Project

My nieces Shelby and Katie are still here visiting and helping me. So today we decided to paint. They had lots of fun, and Layton actually painted with the girls there to sit with him.

Here are the masterpieces.

Summer Fun

It has been soooo hot! We bought the kids a little pool with a slide in it and Layton LOVES it. He dives head first down the slide and into the water, then laughs and laughs. My niece Shelby has been here helping me with Layton, he is entering into the terrible twos stage I guess, but she is great with him and got in the pool to play. Even parker got his feet wet and splashed

Cats, Cats, Cats!

Well, I'm not a huge cat fan but all around our house are fields and I thought we
might get mouse problems. So we got two kittens. Layton is a little hard on them and they don't really care for our dog, Sugar. But, they are adjusting. We don't have names yet, but Layton wants to name the gray one "Num" so who knows?

California Vacation

This week we went on a Robinson family vacation to California. We left Fillmore on Monday morning and arrived in Cali around 7 p.m.It was a long drive but the kids did great and the adults were all very patient with them.Tuesday morning we headed for Disneyland, it was very hot but we had a lot of fun. The kids were excited and happy to be there. Wednesday was another day at Disneyland and also California Adventure. Then Thursday we went to the beach and the kids learned to use the body boards. Friday we were off again, headed back home. We had a quick detour in Primm at the outlets and got home around 10:30 p.m.

Were going to Disneyland!!!

Lets Go!

Us with Minnie mouse at the character breakfast.

Waiting in line.

Lance and Layton on the rocket ship.

Everybody loved Buzzlightyear!

Watching the fireworks.

The finding Nemo submarine.

Layton loved the water features that are all through Califonia Adventure

I know, we could ride a carousel anywhere but it was one of the little boys favorites.

Layton was unsure at first but he ended up having a lot of fun!

Parker slept almost the whole time.

Lance and I had such a good time.

We love our little family!

Thanks so much, Mom and Dad. We had a great vacation, the only problem was that it ended to soon.

Happy Birthday to Me!!

Yesterday was my 24th birthday. We are leaving for Disneyland on Monday and Lance and I are planning on going to a nice dinner while we are there. So, nothing too exciting, but I am looking forward to a dinner alone. My parents had us down for dinner and cake. Sorry, I didn't take any pictures. But it was really nice, I guess birthdays just somehow lost the excitement they
had when I was a kid. But, we had a good time. Just another year older I guess!

2 months old!

On Sunday Parker turned 2 months old! I can't believe how the time flies. Parker had his doctor appointment today and he is 12 lbs 13 ozs, and 24 1/2" long. He is in the 74th percentile for his weight, the 92nd percentile for his height, and of course the 15th percentile for his head.
He is EXACTLY what Layton was at 2 months. He had to get shots but was very tough and only cried for a minute. Parker is getting to be such a big boy!

Well, what do ya know! Jamie IS a miracle worker. She got some really cute shots of everyone.

Little Stinker!

This is what I found when I got out of the shower this morning. What a little stinker!

Rush Valley

We spent yesterday in Rush Valley with Lance's family.
We were celebrating a combined mother's and father's day, and also doing family pictures.
Our go-to photographer, Jamie came out to do the pictures, Layton was very naughty.
He just wouldn't stay still, crying and trying to get down the whole time.
Jamie will have to be a miracle worker to have gotten any good shots of Layton.
So sorry Jamie. But we had fun, Layton loves to play with his cousins.

Fillmore Canyon

Last night we decided to go up the canyon and take Layton and Parker fishing and roast hot dogs and marshmallows.
Lance is such a sport and packed Layton around while he fished,
because Layton was making me to nervous standing next to the creek that was very high and flowing really fast.
While we were unloading the truck I looked down to the creek and our dog
sugar was trying to swim across, I don't know why she would do that,
but it scared her because the current was to strong.
Anyway, they didn't catch any fish with sugar swimming all around them the whole time.

We started a fire and I wanted Layton to help me roast his hot dog but for some reason he was sacred of the fire.
I don't know if it was the heat that scared him or what, but he wouldn't go near the fire all night.

He did love his hot dog of course and really loved the smores.

Parker slept most the time but was very good.
We had a lot of fun. I love doing things like that with our little family.
