The next great athlete?

So the other day I put Parker down on the bed on his tummy while i changed my clothes and when I turned around he was on his back. I thought it was weird but, just a fluke. So I put him back on his belly and over he went again, and again, and again.
So here is a step by step view of Parker rolling over. He was 15 days old when I took these pictures. Layton was average or maybe a little ahead and he didn't roll over until he was 3 1/2 months.
I don't know what this means, better get your autographs now, we may have the next big superstar in our midst. :)

Very Pretty!

After devoting the last 18 months of his life to being exactly like his daddy, Layton has finally come over to my side. Well, not really, but we did have a few shining moments.
I was painting my toenails and Layton came in the room and just stood and watched me for a long time, then he sat down, took off his shoes and socks, and handed me his foot. I know, I know, I shouldn't have done it. Should have told him it was just for girls. But, I couldn't resist! Anyway, he loves it and had to show of his toes to daddy (who isn't very happy about it by the way)

Not that easy!

So, I don't know if anyone has ever put a swing set together. It is definitely not as easy as it looks. We thought we were getting such a good deal when we bought this swing set. Little did we know that was because it would still take 100 man hours to put it together. We have been slowly plucking away at it, poor little Layton was told it would just be a couple hours and then he would have his swing set back. We were wrong, sorry Layton!

Free at last! (well, kind of)

Sunday was Layton's first day of Nursery. Parker and I didn't go to church, we are waiting a few weeks for Parker to get a little bigger, but Lance took Layton. He went into nursery and played for a few minuets with him, them he said "okay, bye Layton" Layton didn't even look up and said "bye" and that was that. What a big, brave boy. Lance said he hasn't learned that much in Sunday school for a very long time. I guess we have a few months of being able to pay attention(hopefully) before Parker gets old enough to cause a stir. :)

Life's Little Milestones

Layton is thrilled to announce that he is a big boy! Last night was his first night in his big boy bed and except for falling off but remaining sound asleep while we put him back on a few different times, it went off without a hitch and he woke up happy in the morning. Yeah!!!!

Parker is one week old and doing great, he is a very happy baby!

Our New Addition

Well, after 9 very long and event filled months the time finally came! Parker Alden Sagers was born Tuesday, April 8th, 2008 at 11:15 a.m. Weighing 8 lbs 4 ozs and 21 inches long. It was kind of a rough labor and delivery but in the end it was all worth it. The first day Parker's oxygen levels were low, and his white blood cell count was high so during his 4 day stay in the hospital he had a oxygen monitor and an IV of antibiotics. But Friday evening he was released and we got to bring him home. He does have a little jaundice so he has to have the lights on him but as of tuesday his levels were 13.2 and they need to be around 10. Hopefully at our appointment on thursday his levels will be good enough to take him off of the lights.

We are so excited to have Parker in our family. Layton really, really loves him. Every time he passes him at any time while doing anything Layton has to stop and give Parker a kiss. I think maybe he loves him a little to much, if possible. It couldn't have anything thing to do with the big dump truck "Parker" gave to Layton when we brought him home could it?

Anyway all is well, we are happy and feel so blessed to have these two beautiful boys in our lives!
