Christmas Morning 2012

This was my first Christmas morning ever to not be at my parents house. I really missed being with them but we had a good facetime talk and I know they are where they should be!

The boys got up around 5 and of course were so excited. Santa left their presents in big red bags with their names on, and they took turns pulling presents out one at a time.

We had a really fun morning and took our time, letting the kids play with the toys they were opening in between turns. It was such a picturesque experience and I felt so grateful for my little family and what a blessing they are in my life.

So grateful to be able to provide such a special Christmas for my sweet boys. We all had a delightful day, and loved every minute of it!

Our Christmas eve jammies left to us by our Elf on the shelf, he even left Jammies for Sugar and Ginger! Haha, Sugar was killing me. She just sat there staring at me like "What have I done to deserve this!?"

Just a sidenote, I set my camera up on a tripod and have a remote for it. It was so so SO nice to be able to just experience Christmas morning with my boys and click the button every once in a while, rather than have a big camera around my neck and in my face all day. Plus its nice to be known as a part of the family, rather then to be the "invisible Mom" in all their scrapbooks :)

Live Nativity, and our very own baby Jesus

In Fillmore every year the Ashton's put on a live nativity for the community  They do such a great job and it is one of our favorite traditions.

This year they asked if Nixon could be baby Jesus!

It was such a neat experience to be a part of. We loved it!

Junior Jazz Basketball

This was Layton's first year doing Junior Jazz Basketball. He loved doing it and did such a good job. I can't wait to keep watching him through the years.

Thanksgiving 2012

This year for Thanksgiving it would have been my parents year (boo hoo!) but of course that is a littl efar to travel. So we went up to Wyoming and had Thanksgiving with Lance's sister Kim, her husband Rio, and their daughter Karsyn, Lances parents, and Rio's parents. It was bit of a drive (13 hours!) but we were so happy that we went, it was so nice to spend a few days together.

I sure am grateful for my sweet family!

Our yummy Thanksgiving dinner together

pre-dinner games :)

I really missed going to my parents house, it just wasn't the same with out them (but nothing is)! We love and miss you Mom and Dad, keep up the good work!

Out for a walk

It has been chilly but no snow and sunny, so we went out for a little walk.
Dear Mother Nature: It can stay like this, then snow the week of Christmas, then warm up again. Thanks :)

Well our first big snow of the year was a doozy! We got over a foot at our house and the boys are loving every second of it!

Halloween 2012

Halloween Morning the kids were excited and ready to wear their costumes to school. Super bummed they couldn't wear their masks though. Layton was Red Iron Man, and Parker was Black Iron Man.
They had a fun Halloween carnival at school and were excited about all the games and prizes they got.

When they got home we had a fun Halloween lunch.

Nixon just hung out with me for the day looking cute :)

Lance missed Halloween last year, and he had to drive several extra hours to get here for it this year, but he made it home just in time for our spooky dinner!

For our ward trunk or treat we were The Avengers, I don't know how many more years the boys will let me do a family costume. So I am having fun with it while I can. Although, me dressing as black widow 8 weeks after having a baby was a bit of a stretch :/

Another fun Halloween!!!
