The Sagers family Christmas party...

We had the annual Sagers family Christmas party last weekend. It was so great to see everybody again. The boys started the afternoon by making cards for the great grandparents.

Layton was also really focused on writing the letter that Santa asked him to write on the Polar Express. I'm really sad that I didn't get a picture of it, the letter was so darn cute. I love Layton's sweet writing. :)

Layton handed his letter to Santa and told him how old he was, and thank you for the treat bag santa gave him. Baby steps people, baby steps. :)

Parker was nervous, but didn't cry. And he did tell Santa what he wants for Christmas (a gas pump :) and how old he was.

All the kids with the great-grandparents and of course Santa and Mrs. Claus...

They were proud of themselves for being brave with Santa, and super happy about the candy canes he gave them!

A ride on the Polar Express...

Lance's parents took us out for a ride on the Polar Express in Heber! We watched the movie in the car on the way up, so by the time we got there the boys were super excited about it.

We have been once before a few years ago, but the boys couldn't remember it so it was a whole new experience for them.

In front of the train...

Eating the cookies and hot cocoa they brought around...

They passed out bells to ring along with the song "Jingle Bells" and Parker really loved it :)...

Then... Santa came on. Layton tried to crawl away under the seats when it was our turn to talk to him. But Santa told him not to be nervous, and that maybe Layton could just write him a letter. Layton really liked that idea and in the end, the boys both accepted the little wooden top Santa gave them. :)

Thanks so much Dennis and Jerri! The boys had a great time, and so did we!!!
