The Sagers family Christmas party...

We had the annual Sagers family Christmas party last weekend. It was so great to see everybody again. The boys started the afternoon by making cards for the great grandparents.

Layton was also really focused on writing the letter that Santa asked him to write on the Polar Express. I'm really sad that I didn't get a picture of it, the letter was so darn cute. I love Layton's sweet writing. :)

Layton handed his letter to Santa and told him how old he was, and thank you for the treat bag santa gave him. Baby steps people, baby steps. :)

Parker was nervous, but didn't cry. And he did tell Santa what he wants for Christmas (a gas pump :) and how old he was.

All the kids with the great-grandparents and of course Santa and Mrs. Claus...

They were proud of themselves for being brave with Santa, and super happy about the candy canes he gave them!

A ride on the Polar Express...

Lance's parents took us out for a ride on the Polar Express in Heber! We watched the movie in the car on the way up, so by the time we got there the boys were super excited about it.

We have been once before a few years ago, but the boys couldn't remember it so it was a whole new experience for them.

In front of the train...

Our group...

Eating the cookies and hot cocoa they brought around...

They passed out bells to ring along with the song "Jingle Bells" and Parker really loved it :)...

Then... Santa came on. Layton tried to crawl away under the seats when it was our turn to talk to him. But Santa told him not to be nervous, and that maybe Layton could just write him a letter. Layton really liked that idea and in the end, the boys both accepted the little wooden top Santa gave them. :)

Thanks so much Dennis and Jerri! The boys had a great time, and so did we!!!

Thanksgiving at my Mom's house...

Thanksgiving at my Mom's house is always amazing. I hope she does it forever, and I never have to try to live up to her wonderful dinner!

I have never taken pictures at Thanksgiving before, but this year I wanted to document it.

I did contribute the carmel apple place card holders, and the yummiest ever sweet potato casserole! (if I do say so myself :)

I have never had a Thanksgiving at my Mom's without this cinnamon apple waldorf salad, it is tradition and so so yummy!

Of course my Mom makes the best stuffing ever :)

I will never understand why everyone doesn't make their own cranberry sauce. Seriously people, the recipe is on the bag, and it takes 3 ingredients and like 10 minuets! It is the easiest part of Thanksgiving dinner, and 1000 times yummier than canned!!!

Our amazing family, but we missed Suzie and Chris :(

My Mom is also the queen of pie making. Every year we spend Wednesday making all sorts of yummy pies. I think I grew up on pie dough alone! :)

I hope everyone else had a fun and delicious Thanksgiving. We have so much to be thankful for!!!

So Greatful...

I am so greatful for my two healthy little boys.

I was just reading the blog of a family I don't even know, whose little boy died last night. I have been crying about it ever sense, I don't know why some people have to have that heartache in their life.

I have a renewed sense of commitment to enjoy every single day I am blessed to spend with my sweet boys!

Raking Leaves...

I have a feeling that there are only a few more beautiful days left of this year's gorgeous fall weather. So the boys and I went out this afternoon to get the leaves raked up!
They were super excited, in their minds it was really a treat to rake up (and jump in) piles of leaves.
Ah fall, I love you, why don't you stay forever ???

Big helpers

I love their cute little rakes, compared to the huge one that I use...

Then of course, jumping in again and again...

I love these sweet boys so much!

These pictures are pure joy to me, nothing better than an afternoon playing in the leaves.

Scrapbooking Panic...

I have been so busy with my business, and I have really neglected scrapbooking. There always seems to be something more important to do...

Anyway, I am in a panic that I am scrapbooking January of this year, and it is almost January again. I don't have the best memory and it is super hard for me to remember the reason for taking the pictures, and the story behind them.

So, being more than a year behind is just to much for my poor brain to take! :) I have been trying my hardest to get these done, it really wasn't too long ago that I was up to the day, caught up, so this is a really sad situation for me :(

I scrapbook probably 75% paper/ 25% digital. Only one more paper layout and January is complete. Hooray!!!

But, here are a few digital layout that I have been working on for January 2010 :)

Craft night...

I just realized that I never posted about the craft night I did in October. We had lots of fun, it is so nice to have a girls night every once in awhile, although I think next time I won't do as many projects!

I actually thought that I wasn't doing enough, but it was so crazy it would have been nice for us all to work on just 1 or 2 things together and have more time to visit... and eat the yummy treats everyone brought!

I asked everyone to bring something to share and it looked like we were feeding an army! :)

April, working hard on those pumpkins...

Mary taught us how to make some cute flowers...

Me and Katy, the bestest friend ever :)...
