crafty?!?

I don't have many spring decorations so I decided to make myself a wreath. I was a little (or a LOT) limited to what I could buy. Seeing as there was no trip up north in the near future, I went down to south fork :)
Now, I would like to think of myself as crafty... after this I am not so sure.

First of all, to buy all the supplies to make it was MUCH more expensive than if I would have just BOUGHT a dang wreath at Country Floral.

Second of all, it took me FOREVER to make it. Just to give you an idea. Good ol' South Fork didn't have any wreath forms, so this began as one of those skinny wooden embroidery circles...

The end product was ok... not what I was picturing. Good enough to hang on the door for a month though.

I think next time unless I am feeling crazy, and like I have endless amounts of time and money... I will be heading on down to the country floral for any decorating needs :)

St Patricks Day Session

I did a super fast little session for the boys on St Patricks Day, mostly just for scrapbooking and stuff. But I love my new barnwood floor so I had to try it out!

Layton is getting very good at following instructions for pictures, he tries really hard for me.

Parker... not so much. He mostly wanted to lay down, but eventually we got a smile.

St. Patties day happenings...

We had lots of fun for St. Patties.

- We set a trap to catch a leprechaun, the night before. A green bed and some water in a green glass, were what was supposed to lure him in :)

In the morning they woke up and the trap was set and the leprechaun was naughty and had tipped over a bunch of chairs and couch cushions. Oh, and turned the toilet water green (which was Layton's very favorite part:)

As we cleaned up the chairs the boys kept finding gold coins that must have fallen out of the leprechaun's pockets!!!

Then we ate green- 4 leaf clover pancakes w/ green yummy syrup for breakfast...

We went to the Library for story time, they did a little craft and each got a green balloon.

Our dinner: corned beef and cabbage(which was actually pretty good), with homemade guacamole and lime chips, (we would have had green grapes but Duanes only had purple, and grapes sounded sooo good:) and of course green kool-aid to drink.

To finish it off we had green ice cream cones for dessert

We had a really fun day and didn't even do all the things I had planned (green clover shaped sugar cookies, a little craft, and a leprechaun puzzle) but it was a full day without those things.
I almost didn't do anything and only did these after my cousin Candace was about to outdo me with her mothering skills :)
I'm really glad I did, the boys really loved St Patricks day!!!

Early Morning Watercolors

The boys just HAD to paint, notice it is just barely getting light outside. This was at about 6:30 in the morning. Maybe when im old and the boys are gone I will get to take a nap... or maybe when they are teenagers and WANT to sleep all day. Ah, a girl can dream right :)

Dog Food time out...

Both boys in time out after scooping out the entire container of dog food. Notice Layton is devastated, Parker couldn't care less. Story of my life :)

Women Driver Award! :)

Now I don't want any feminist hate mail so if that is something you do then you better stop reading :)

I am the first to admit that I am not a great driver. In High school I had a "few" accidents :) (RIP sweet Tracker). But since having kids I have become substantially better, and the law enforcement community would be happy to hear that it has been YEARS, since I have had a ticket! (yay me!)

So my point is that we can all laugh at our selves and see the humor in this email right???
