Peekaboo with Parker

Parker is getting the funnest little personality. We were playing in the living room and he discovered he could fit in between the couch and the toy table, and then our couch is across a corner so he would go back behind it into a little hiding spot. He would crawl back there as fast as he could, laughing the whole way. And then crawl back out and I would say "peak" and he would just die laughing and then turn right around to head back in and do it again. He did it forever, so funny : )

Trip to Rush Valley

We spent Friday night and Saturday in Rush Valley visiting Lance's family. As usual it was great to see everyone. Lance's brothers and their families came to visit also and we had fun catching up with them.
Grandma Jerri, reading a story to Tanner, Sidney, and Layton
I was coming out of our room in the back and walked up on Sidney, reading a book to Layton in the other room, away from everyone. She is so sweet to him and he LOVES her to death.
Thanks for a great visit everybody!

Outside and Loving It!

It has been so nice outside that our snow is almost melted and spring is starting to sprung! So I took the boys out to play, and of course they loved it. Last summer when Parker was younger he hated to be outside, but I think this summer will be a different story. They played and played. While they played guess what I did?

Yep, raked up HAIR. Our dog sugar is a golden retriever and the one groomer in town says she "doesn't do big dogs" so annoying, so needless to say Sugar has been shedding everywhere. I was basically brushing our lawn so the boys don't come in from outside covered in hair all the time. I did like a 6 foot square and got this massive pile, don't be fooled by the few sticks and leaves. It is a pile of hair from a very small section of yard. Hmmm... 6 feet down probably 50 more to go. Yeah for me!:)

Craft it Forward

The first three people to respond to this post will get something made by me! My choice. For you. This offer does have some restrictions and limitations:
1- I make no guarantees that you will like what I make!
2- What I create will be just for you.
3- It'll be done this year.
4- You have no clue what it's going to be.
5- I reserve the right to do something extremely strange.
The catch is that you must repost this on your blog and offer the same to the first 3 people who do the same on your blog. The first 3 people to do so and leave a comment telling me they did win a FAB-U-LOUS homemade gift by me! Oh, and be sure to post a picture of what you win when you get it! And if you could include your address with your post, that would be most helpful!
Who's in?

Never!

Lately when Layton doesn't want something to happen he yells "NEVER" as in "NEVER PARKER!" or "I'll NEVER take a bath" it is really funny. Today I was outside playing with the boys in the backyard and I told Layton it was time to go inside because Parker was cold and he stood in front of the gate and yelled "YOU'LL NEVER GO INSIDE!" isn't he just too hilarious.

We love Valentines Day!

We had a really fun day. Seriously I love Valentines Day so much!

Lance sent me these very pretty Gerber Daisy's, along with other gifts.

When the boys woke up we had heart-shaped french toast with purple (supposed to be pink) yummy syrup. Layton was excited that it was a heart.

After breakfast the boys opened their valentines gifts from us, well mostly Layton opened all the gifts. But Parker still had fun.
After, we played with their new toys and just had a relaxing really nice day. My parents watched the kids for a few hours while Lance and I went out, which was so nice. Hope you all had a great one too!

Happy Valentines Day!

Happy Valentines Day everybody! I love this holiday, I think it is one of my favorites. So sorry, I know you haven't received your valentines from my boys yet. But here is a little preview and just know that they are in the mail :) I am trying so hard to balance out this new business and still being a good mom and I haven't quite figured it out yet. We love you all and are so grateful to have such wonderful friends and family. I hope everyone has a great day!

sorry!

Sorry for the lack of blogging, I am super busy getting my studio set up. But it is almost finished, so I should be back to normal soon!
But, my sister sent me this of her super cute babies and I had to brag a little about my darling niece and nephew. :)

Bath Time

I have never been the type of mom that thinks bath time pictures are appropriate. Really regardless of age, but my boys are just too darn cute in the tub. So I am sharing our bath pictures.

Parker is so chubby and funny.

And Layton will play forever and is such a hoot to watch and listen to.

I sure love these cute, ( and clean :) boys

Best Buds and... A Haircut!

We have been watching our two nephews for the last few days and Layton is in his own little heaven. He worships them and follows them everywhere, doing exactly what they do. It is the cutest. They will go to school in the morning before Layton wakes up, he will be so sad when they go home instead of coming back to our house.
Also, Layton got a haircut today. He was a very big boy, he didn't want to sit in the chair alone so he sat on my lap. But he held very still and there wasn't even a little bit of crying. My friend Katy is opening her own salon and I love her! She always does an amazing job, I have never ever been unhappy at all. Call her for your haircuts people. Anyway, Layton did great, and looks very grown up.
His hair is cut in this picture but he wasn't in the mood for a picture alone. Oh well, I'll save the picture forcing for a time when it matters :)

Sweetly Simple Photography

So... I have decided to open a photography studio. Called Sweetly Simple Photography, I have been thinking about it for a really long time and I am actually taking the plunge. I have always loved photography and thanks to ( a lot ) of mentoring from my friend Jamie I am actually doing it. I am really excited and I know I still have a lot to learn, so sorry Jamie, I am sure there are more panicked phone calls still to come. Wish me luck, Lance has been really supportive and helpful. I really wanted something that I could still be a good mom while doing, I am finding out it is a lot more work than I expected but I am learning a lot and having fun.

While I was in Cali visiting my sister I did a shoot with her precious babies. Here are some of the pictures from it. I know Suzie is anxious for the sneak peak. Hope you like them Suzie!

Parkers #1 Favorite Thing

Parker's very favorite thing to do is play in the dishwasher, he absolutely LOVES it. One day I was sitting on the couch holding Parker while he drank his bottle, Lance was doing dishes and when he opened up the dishwasher Parker THREW his bottle and crawled over as fast as he could. He will play forever, loading and unloading (a clean dishwasher, by the way :). Normally Parker plays alone and Layton will rinse dishes, but last night Layton couldn't stand to let Parker have all the fun without him!

(By the way, I know Layton needs a haircut. He has an appointment for Wednesday)
