First Day of School

We are doing Joy School for Layton this year, he has been so excited. This morning was his very first day!

Joy School!

Joy School is the cutest little program, it was designed by an LDS couple and I know there are lots of you who have been doing it forever with your kids.

Our little group is for young 3 year olds that won't be in preschool this fall but needed something to do.

The first week will be here at our house, then next week on to another mom. We had lots of fun and the kids all did surprisingly well considering a few aren't quite 3 yet, and none have had any experience with this sort of set up before this.

Rest time was shocking, the manual says to have them lay down without talking and listen to quiet music for about 3 minuets. I though there was no way, but see the proof! They were amazing, and actually seemed to enjoy the down time. (notice Parker right there with them :)

$1.99 scrapbook pages. WHAT?!

I wanted to share the company that I have print my digital scrapbook pages, it is $1.99 per 12x12 page! That is CRAZY, people, plus tomorrow and monday they are doing %25 off of all prints.
Don't walk, run over to http://www.scrappingsimply.com/ even with my wholesale account at my professional lab this is MUCH cheaper.
Just wanted to share for those of you needed to print your pages!

Also, I did these layouts today...

fried green tomatoes!

Well, actually the opposite of fried... but I thought it was a cute title!
Our backyard is totally fenced in, so most of the time the boys are out there by themselves. Parker apparently loves tomatoes. All summer long he will come wandering inside with a tomato (ripe or not) and just eats it like an apple, dirt and all!

Through Layton's Eyes...

Along with Layton always wanting to have his picture taken, he is always wanting to use my camera. He puts the little strap around his wrist and says "we have to be cawefwl (careful) so we don't dwop it!"
Then after awhile brings my camera back with a ton of pictures on it. I always think they are interesting to look at. My little camera only has a screen and not an eye hole (what it that called?) to look through, so he has a hard time. As many time as there is an actual picture, there is a picture of his finger :)

This one's for Grandma Jerri

Lance's parents went to Seattle and brought the boys back these fun little t-shirts. So I had to post a few pics of the boys wearing them.

Don't even ask about what Layton is doing, I couldn't get him to take off the hat and blanket for the picture :)

Happy Birthday Girls!

For my cute niece's birthdays and back to school presents I took them to have their hair done. They both got a few highlights and super cute haircuts from the fabulous Katy Beckstrand!
I didn't get an official before picture, but you can see how long their hair was.

and.....

drum roll pease....

Aren't they the cutest? Katy did such a good job, they both are so happy and excited about their new hair!

Scrapbooking Stats...

A few people have asked about what programs I use to scrapbook digitaly.

I use Photoshop CS4, I think it is probably overkill. I just use it because that is what I use with my photography business. I think Photoshop elements would probably be just as great (and a TON cheaper) to scrapbook with.

I buy kits, alphas, templates, etc... from http://ggdigitaldesigns.com/ and http://www.scrapoutsidethebox.com/ mainly, occasionally from other places but these two are my favorites.

Photoshop does take awhile to learn, before photoshop I used a program called my memories suite, by Polaroid. Which is great, I am just so used to photoshop now that I like it a lot better.

Hope this answers your questions! Thanks

Scrapbooking

So the other day (while I was trying to fix my stupid sidebar that is now on the bottom, and my background that has disappeared :) I saw that my profile says one of my interests is scrapbooking...

It is a big part of my life. You wouldn't know it from reading this blog now though, would you?

Our basement (ie my scrapbooking room) is torn all apart right now for my studio renovations (!!!).

So I have been doing all digital the last little bit, I will for sure do some paper scrapbooking still, because to be honest I'm already at the computer all day and I could use a break! But for now that can't happen.
I did these this morning. I am a cheater, if I have something I want to scrap of both boys I do it this way. And just switch out a picture or two, and the journaling. With both digital or paper.

Cheating? Probably.

Do I care? Not at all!

So anyway, I am going to add pages as I do them. Most people scrapbook right? Does anyone actually even care to see these?

Robinson Family Reunion

This year I was in charge of my big extended family reuion. I know that I had a great time, and hopefully everyone else did too!
Thaks so much Mom, for all your help. I couldn't have gotten anything done without you.

We had a HUGE slide, and a bounce house. Super fun, but all the kids got a TON of rug (plastic?) burns from the slide. Note to Porta Party: we love your prices and your bouncers but please get some big cloth bags to go down the slide in :)

Layton covered himself in sunscreen, don't have a heart attack Uncle Lee, I made sure he didn't get any in his eyes. Haha, I'm sure that is only super funny to me :) ...

Tiny little BrookLynn going down the slip-n-slide, and poor Lance doing a belly flop in the dunk tank :)

Does it get any funner than 30 cousins on the trampoline at once? Parker loved my sister's cute babies.

Actually, everyone loved my sister's cute babies! My dad layed down to take a nap, and Parker went and covered him with grass :)

Wow, congratulations on making it through all that! If you wan't to see more (and I can't imagine that anyone who wasn't there, or probbably even if you were, would want to) go here
>Thanks so much everyone for coming! Hope to see you all again soon!!!
