Lake Powell 2012!

Oh I love Lake Powell! Sorry in advance for the major picture overload!

We finally got there Sunday night about 5 minutes before they closed the ramp, Lance and Layton are the worriers and they were freaking out that we wouldn't get there in time. :)

Monday was a windy day so we kept the houseboat in the slip and just hung out for the day.

We went on a little exploring drive...

Went down the slide...

Swam...

Then Dale and Rochelle (My Uncle and Aunt that we were with) took us to the "Bat Cave". Its a huge cave that you can drive in and goes clear back in and under. Layton started looking up and realizing how much rock was above us, and pretty soon he was ready to get out of there :)

We went tubing...

The next morning, we woke up about 7 to the sound of us driving to our beach. Uncle Dale is just like my Dad, and loved waking us all up early every morning :)

Once we got settled into our beach we went out on and ski/wakeboard run.

Lance is nice and lets everyone else have a turn, then he goes last and makes us all feel bad about our skills (not on purpose of course :)

Layton rode the ski board...

We got back to the houseboat and Lance helped the boys fish. They both caught one within 30 seconds of putting their poles in the water. I guess sunfish love old bacon :)

There weren't any other small kids and Lance was so great to keep the boys entertained all day...
They went on hikes...

Lots of swims (I was actually with on this one :)...

and kayaking around our little bay...

The next day I woke up and Lance and the boys were gone. I went out on the deck and saw them clear at the top of the cliff we were camped by...

Parker had been nervous about trying the ski board, but he decided he wanted to do it, and did such a great job. He had a little bit of a wild ride, but held on tight and was so cute doing it!

Don't mind my annoying voice in the video!

More drives with our little family...

The boys worked and worked on a "house" for their toy waverunners...

They were building it up until the second we left to come home...

We love our houseboat!

This was such a different trip to not be there with my whole family. I really missed having my Mom and Dad there, it just wasn't the same without you guys! My Aunt and Uncle were so so great though and we loved being with them. They only had 4 in their group, and we just had our little family of four, so it was actually a pretty peaceful few days. I love the time our little family gets to spend together. I wish we could stay at this stage in our lives forever (except maybe minus the me, being 7 months pregnant part)!

Getting ready for Lake Powell...

The week that we had planned to go to Lake Powell this year ended up being the week my parents were leaving. It was a really hard time to go, but the boys (and us!) love it so much there, I couldn't stand to miss a year going.
The boys were so excited. A few days before we left, I was in the back yard and they came out with their bags packed full of swim suits, pajamas, undies, and a towel and were ready to leave right then. They actually did a pretty good little job of packing their bags :)

Then, the day before we left, while packing the boat I went outside to see this :)

Crazy boys, and crazy Daddy!

Delta Rodeo

We headed over to the Delta Rodeo a few weekends ago. It was freezing cold and super windy, but we toughed it out for as long as the kids could stand it :) My parents, and nieces and nephews came with. All in all not the best rodeo I've ever attended, but it was one of those last things to do with my parents before they left, so I'm glad we went.

T-Ball for Layton

Layton did t-ball this year for the first time. He did so so well with it and really had a good time. I was one of the coaches and while it was lots of work, I had a great time with it too. But I am relived to have the season over with!

This is Layton batting at several different games :)

Called to Serve

My parents have been called to be Mission President for the Belgium/Netherlands Mission. My Dad went on his mission there 40+ years ago and has always wanted to go back to serve another mission.

My Mom has started a blog to help us keep up with whats going on through their mission. It is http://www.robinsonmission.blogspot.com/ I have a link on my sidebar as well.

We are so happy for them, but kind of sad for ourselves! I can't imagine the next three years without them.

There is a mountain of challenges ahead of us and I sure hope that what they say about the extra blessings is true. Because I know that I'm going to need them!

I am so grateful for my parents and the wonderful example they have always been to me, and are continuing to be for my family. We love you Mom and Dad!

Parker's "Color Party" 4th birthday {the fun!}

Cute Parker had so much fun at his party. We rented the pool for the evening so we could have it to ourselves. Thanks so much everyone for coming, he notices every person and it means a lot to him to have you there.

My sweet birthday boy :)

Thanks again to everyone who came, we had a great time and Parker loved his "color party".

Parker "Color Party" 4th birthday! {the details}

Parker wanted a "color party" for his 4th birthday. I wasn't exactly sure what he was imagining, but this is what I came up with :)

We had it at the pool with lot and lots of our friends and family, it turned out great and was such a nice, low stress party for me.

This was the dessert table...

The wonderful Lisa Teeples made a very yummy and cute cake for us...

Gum is Parker's favorite thing, so we had lots of gumballs for everyone.

The drink/favor table...

He really wanted everyone to get paints, so all the guests got a watercolor set and notebook

 And glow necklace's

Parker was so happy with everything, and of course that makes me very happy too. :)
