Pioneer Day Celebration

Happy 24th of July everybody! We had a really fun day. The theme of the parade was family heritage, so the kids had to dress up like a past family member. We tried to put Parker in the 4th of July parade and it didn't go to well, so he sat this one out.

But Layton dressed up as his Great Grandpa Vance Sagers who runs a farm with cattle and horses and, in his younger years rode bareback and bulls.

Layton LOVED it, he wanted to ride his horse all day, and I had a heck of a time getting him to change into cooler clothes.

We had a lot of fun, there was a bounce house, a dunking machine, a greased pig chase, and corn husk doll making. Layton participated in and loved every minuet of all of it!

Later, after a nice dinner and a program we watched a movie. On a screen held up by a tractor! We didn't watch the whole thing, Layton got a little restless, so we came home and went to bed.

Sounds like you guys had a really fun day. Even though I was in Sun Valley, the day came and went without any mention of the fact that it was pioneer day. Sad. I dont enjoy this whole not doing holidays thing. The 4th wasnt very fun either. Live it up for me :)
